Chroma Reports Year 2016 Third Quarter Financial Results - First Three Quarters EPS Reached NED 3.54, a Growth of 35% YoY(2016/10/24)
Taoyuan, Taiwan (R.O.C) October 24, 2016 - Chroma Ate Inc. (TAIEX: 2360) today announced the results for third quarter in the fiscal year 2016, which ended September 30th, 2016. In the third quarter, consolidated sales revenues were NTD 3.6 billion, presented a growth of 33% QoQ and 42% YoY respectively. Chroma's parent only sales revenues reached NTD 2.4 billion, an increase of 49% QoQ and 75% YoY respectively. Net income reached NTD 574 million, represented a growth of 30% QoQ and 19% YoY respectively, with basic earnings per share of NTD 1.52. EPS is based on weighted average outstanding shares of 378 million. All numbers are unaudited.
For the first three quarter fiscal year 2016, Chroma achieved consolidated sales revenues of NTD 8.8 billion, increased by 24% and parent only sales revenues was NTD 5.6 billion, presented a growth of 68%. The net profit in first three quarter was NTD 1,338 million, represented a growth of 36% compared to NTD 986 million in year 2015, with basic earnings per share of 3.54.
The major growth drivers for first nine months were turnkey solutions and semiconductor testing solutions, which presented an outstanding growth of 387% and 64% YoY. The core business test instruments and ATS also increased by 15% compared to last year. Moving into low season fourth quarter, the Company expected sales will be better than last year. The major growth driver will be coming from semiconductor testing solutions.
