CKS and Hactl join forces to develop air cargo logistic network services throughout PRD

Chu Kong Shipping Enterprises (Group) Co., Ltd. ("CKS") has entered into a Memorandam of Understanding ("MoU") with HACTL Development Holdings Ltd. ("HDHL") - the business development arm of the Hactl Group.

Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited ("Hactl") is one of the world's leading air cargo terminals with unique world-class facilities, highly efficient operations, and innovative technology. Hactl is the only neutral air cargo terminal operator at Hong Kong International Airport, having no affiliation to any carrier, enabling it to provide all of its airline customers with unbiased service. HDHL is a subsidiary company of Hactl aiming at leveraging Hactl's brand of air cargo handling excellence and selling it throughout the world.

The objective of the MoU is to explore the joint development of logistics links and infrastructure in and around Hong Kong International Airport and the PRD region, supporting the development of air-sea integration and logistics activities. The cooperation aims to exploit Hactl's expertise in operating a world class air cargo terminal to further improve CKS' logistics network and promote its integrated logistics business, such as logistic warehouse operation, storage and distribution, and freight forwarding.

CKS and Hactl (through its value added logistics subsidiary, Hacis) have a long history of cooperation; they were formerly partners in Hong Kong's Marine Cargo Terminal.

Following the signing of the MoU, CKS and Hactl will form a working group whose first task will be to conduct a feasibility study focusing on opportunities within Hactl's existing air cargo business in HKIA, and CKS' logistics business in Hong Kong and the PRD region.
