The power transmission and distribution sectors of Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc., Hokuriku Electric Power Company, and Kansai Electric Power Company, Incorporated (hereinafter 'the three companies') have decided to engage in deliberations over further streamlining their operations by collaborating with one another.

Given their geographical proximity and interconnected power grids, the three companies have been jointly working on streamlined management and technical issues related to power transmission and distribution.

They also have been widely cooperating in such ways as entrusting or being entrusted with the maintenance of power transmission and distribution equipment, and supporting one another when recovering from disasters.

The power transmission and distribution sectors of the three companies have decided to engage in deliberations, and they have detailed discussions. Their aim is to optimize facility formulations in areas where transmission/distribution equipment of the companies are intermingled, and to further streamline operations by working together.

With the continued understanding of local residents, the three companies will make efforts to supply safe, reasonable, and stable electricity to customers.
