• The team faces the new season after many successes during 2017, as runner-ups in J80 Catalonia's Championship and reaching the 5th place in the previous Conde de Godó Trophy.

The J80 NACEX Sailing Team, captained by Agustí Altadill, is preparing to compete for the 45th Conde de Godó Trophy, which will be held from May 24 to 27. Organized since 1974 by the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona, over 50 boats and almost 500 sailors of the highest level will meet in the Catalan waters.

With this latest edition, the Conde de Godó Trophy, the oldest Spanish sailing competition and one of the most important nautical competitions in the Mediterranean, reaches its 45th anniversary. Throughout the three scheduled days, seven tests will be held for the ORCs and ten for the J80s. The awards ceremony will be held the same Sunday 27th in the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona village.

The J80 NACEX Sailing Team, based in the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona,has been competing for over a decade. Throughout its career it has always had high-level crews of all nationalities. After a great season last 2017, clinching Catalonia's second place in J80 and a 5th place in the past Conde de Godó Trophy, the team repeats its crew and continues betting on youth in the team, which this year aims to be in the podium and fight for victory.

This is the NACEX 2018 crew:

• Mon Cañellas: Skipper. Runner-up in the 2015 World Laser junior Championship.

• Mati Sabate: Bow and tactician. Currently 1st in the Catalan Radial Laser Ranking.

• Jaime Menescal: Trimer. 2012 National Championship Champion in 420.

• Alberto Guillén: Piano/Trimer. Spanish Championship runner-up under 17 and under 19 years old.

The J80 NACEX Sailing Team, thanks to NACEX, participates in two world championships, two European championships, several Spain and Catalonia championships and in the Conde Godó Trophy, among other First Class 8 and J80 boat races.
