CIR Compagnie Industriali Riunite : Sogefi develops the first panel filter for the best-selling pick-up in the United States

The new filter was presented at Automechanika, the international aftermarket fair in Frankfurt

Milan, 20 September 2016 - Sogefi has created the first panel diesel fuel filter for the Ford V8 Power Stroke 6.7 litre turbo diesel engine. This engine is used exclusively in the F Series (F250, F350, F450 and F550) of Ford's Super Duty, America's best-selling heavy-duty pick-up, which confirms its leadership with best-in-class diesel horsepower and torque. The new Sogefi filter was shown at the last Automechanika, the international aftermarket fair in Frankfurt.

The innovative design of the flat filter, compared to the traditional cylindrical shape, makes it possible to optimize space: the overall volume has been reduced allowing the filter to be mounted in a smaller space next to the fuel tank on the ladder frame. It has reinforcement ribs that give greater protection from gravelling. The filter is made from plastic and is thus recyclable, lighter than a metal one and enables the vehicle to save more fuel. Moreover, plastic eliminates the risk of holes forming in the body of the filter caused by bacteria that proliferate because of the water, heat and organic contents.

The filter guarantees greater resilience to extreme weather conditions, enhanced safety from electrostatic accumulation for the vehicle, and the elimination of 99% of the water thanks to the Diesel3Tech+™ technology patented by Sogefi.
