New York - CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) cit.com, today announced that CIT Aerospace, a global leader in aircraft finance, has delivered two Airbus A321s to American Airlines.

"These are the first aircraft leases to originate through CIT Bank," said John Morabito, Senior Vice President and Head of the Financial Institutions Group for CIT Aerospace.  "These deliveries are the latest example of how CIT Bank allows CIT to competitively originate more new business opportunities."

The aircraft, MSNs 5932 and 5938, are powered by IAE V2533-A5 engines. This brings the total to seven Airbus A321s and three A3192 that have been delivered by CIT to American Airlines. Future aircraft deliveries include three additional A321s, which are scheduled for delivery through third quarter 2014.
