Citi was the highest rated custodian globally in the latest annual Custody Survey published by Global Investor/ISF magazine. Regionally, Citi was ranked second in the Americas as well as in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The survey’s results are based on feedback provided by asset managers and banks who rated their custodians across 18 categories. Citi achieved the highest average overall score by the weighted methodology which attaches weight to the views of respondents based on their assets under management. Respondents described Citi as “best of breed for safety of custody assets”, praising the bank’s “excellent client service and responsiveness,” as well as the “great value” added by its “newer client network group”.

The awards were presented at a ceremony hosted by Global Investor/ISF in London yesterday. Commenting on the achievement, Sanjiv Sawhney, Global Head of Custody and Fund Services at Citi said: “It’s a great honour to receive this prestigious industry recognition for the second year in a row. As we continue to invest in our custody platform globally, we are pleased our clients recognize our commitment to providing industry-leading solutions and customer service experience.”

With over $15 trillion of assets under custody and the industry-leading proprietary network spanning 60 markets, Citi’s custody business provides clients with in-depth local market expertise, advanced processing technologies and a wide range of fund services that can be tailored to meet clients’ needs.
