Citi has hired Armando Diaz as Managing Director and Global Head of Cash Trading. In this role, Mr. Diaz will be responsible for the continued enhancement of the Bank’s cash trading product, emphasizing risk trading, content delivery and client connectivity. He will be based in New York and report jointly to Derek Bandeen, Global Head of Equities and Suni Harford, Regional Head of Markets.

Mr. Diaz brings more than 20 years of experience in global trading on both the buy and sell side. Most recently, he was Global Head of Execution Services for Millennium Partners, a multi-strategy hedge fund. Prior to Millennium, he oversaw U.S. institutional cash trading at Citi before leaving in 2011. He also spent nearly two decades at Goldman Sachs, where he held a number of senior positions, including Partner and Co-Head of U.S. Equity Trading. Mr. Diaz earned a BA in Economics from Trinity College.

Last week, Citi announced the hiring of Dirk Keijer as Head of Equity Derivatives Sales for Europe, the Middle-East & Africa (EMEA). Quentin Andre was also named Head of Global Structured Sales.
