PaymentsSource this week named Citi Retail Services’ Leslie McNamara, managing director and executive vice president of Partner Management, one of the Most Influential Women in Payments for 2016. In its fourth annual list and coverage, PaymentsSource cited McNamara’s critical role in advising her business’ partners – including many of retail’s largest names -- as the digital era fundamentally transforms the retail and payments industries.

“Our retail partners’ must-achieve goals have always been our primary focus, and at no time has that been more important than now,” said McNamara. “Helping enable the industry’s move to omnichannel shopping with the unique capabilities Citi Retail Services brings continues to be exciting and extremely rewarding for me personally and professionally. Helping to prepare other leaders – women and men – for this challenge is equally fulfilling to me, so I’m especially proud of this recognition.”

"Our 2016 list includes women whose significant achievements, exceptional leadership, and promotion of innovation in payments are transforming the landscape,” said editor in chief at PaymentsSource. “As both an established leader in the payments ecosystem during a period of rapid change and an active advocate and mentor to other women, Leslie has made our list for the second year in a row.”

McNamara is one of 25 executives honored on the PaymentsSource list this year. She joined Citi in 2002 and held a number of portfolio management, marketing and customer engagement positions, helping guide the company and clients through the economic downturn and a period of sweeping regulatory change before accepting her current role in 2011. As head of partner management, McNamara provides oversight for Citi Retail Services’ private label and co-brand credit card programs and leads a team that works closely with retailer partners.
