Citrix today announced the appointment of Brian Dye as group vice president and general manager of its Mobile Platforms group. Dye will drive the company’s mobility business, which provides IT organizations the freedom to allow their end users to work from anywhere, on their device of choice, while also securing corporate applications, data, and intellectual property.

In his new role, Dye will have responsibility for the company’s industry-leading, comprehensive enterprise mobility management (EMM) and mobile device management (MDM) solutions, comprising device, application, content, and data security and management. At the core of its product line is XenMobile®, an integral part of the Citrix Mobile Workspace Suite, which enables people to work better by providing instant, secure access to all apps, desktops, data, and services from any device over any network.

Dye joins Citrix after spending more than a decade at Symantec where he held numerous leadership roles in product management, engineering, support and operations - most recently serving as senior vice president for the Information Security Group. Before joining Symantec, he held key roles in engineering, program management, and business development at Procter and Gamble, E Ink, and Xerox PARC.

Dye will be based in the Citrix Santa Clara offices.
