Clearstar : Robert Martin Appointed to Newly Created Role of VP Sales & Business Development

Creation of new position reflects increasing demand for direct services

ClearStar (AIM: CLSU), the technology and service provider to the background check industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Martin as Vice President of Sales and Business Development, with effect 15 November 2017. He joins the Company from First Advantage, a global screening provider and Symphony Technology Group company, where he was Sr. Vice President Account Management. The role has been created to meet the higher level of demand for ClearStar's solutions, and Robert will be responsible for leading the Company's sales and business development activities with a primary focus on direct services.

Robert brings to ClearStar more than twenty-five years of experience in sales and business development in the human capital management and background screening industries. During this time, he has consistently driven revenue and profit growth, increased market share and enhanced the performance of sales operations in high-growth, proactive and technology-based environments. As Sr. VP Account Management at First Advantage between 2015 and 2017, he was responsible for the top 600 Enterprise and Middle Market accounts, and successfully oversaw the retention and growth of revenues generated by these accounts. Prior to this, Robert held a number of leadership positions at Automatic Data Processing (ADP), a leading provider of scalable cloud-based technology solutions to organisations operating within the small, middle market, and enterprise markets.
