Our Chairman and CIO, Ronald Duncan, has been shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year, at the Grant Thornton Quoted Company Awards. The nomination is in recognition of his significant contribution to the innovation, development and growth of the company over the past 12 months.

The prestigious Quoted Company Awards recognise those companies and individuals who, despite the wider economic challenges, have worked tirelessly to advance the success of their businesses. The judging panel of leading lights from across the media and financial services sectors have now shortlisted the highest achieving companies and individuals in the market. The overall winners will be announced on 29th January 2014, at the award's 10th Anniversary ceremony hosted at the Natural History Museum.

As Chairman, Duncan has overseen a 26% increase in corporate turnover and an increase in gross profits by 36% in 2013. Meanwhile, operationally he and CEO, Lyn Duncan have secured an exclusive three year partnership agreement with Visa which paves the way for a global roll-out of the company's e-commerce marketplace.

A little more about Ronald Duncan
Ronald Duncan had a best placing of 13th in World Cup Ski Racing and competed in 2 Olympics prior to retiring and moving into software development.  He successfully chaired the skiing governing body Snowsports GB who won 3 World Cups during his tenure. He won multiple British Championships, Internationals and Continental Cups during his skiing career despite a break to go to Cambridge University.

Following retirement from ski racing he set up @Software PLC followed by @UK PLC in 1999, which floated in 2005 and recently changed name to CloudBuy for its global roll out wth Visa.
