Groupe Assuristance appoints Marie Bazetoux as chairman of the Management Board

Marie Bazetoux has been appointed chairman of the management board of Groupe Assuristance, holding of Filassistance International and Garantie Assistance.

Groupe Assuristance, a holding company owned 66% by CNP Assurances and 34% by Swiss Life, brings together the two insurers' assistance businesses. It leverages the complementary expertise of its subsidiaries - Filassistance International, which specialises in local personal assistance services, and Garantie Assistance, which primarily offers medical, roadside, home and travel assistance - to develop innovative services for its partners, covering both beneficiaries and their assets. Its partners include insurance companies, mutual insurers, employee benefit institutions, bancassurers and businesses.

Marie Bazetoux, 52, is a graduate of IEP Paris (Sciences Po) and of the French insurance executive program CHEA. She began her career at Chubb, where she was the head of financial lines and the personal insurance department. After holding management positions in the areas of partnerships and marketing, she joined Gras Savoye in 2001 to lead the property and casualty division for the bancassurance sector. From 2012, she headed up the Affinity & Special Risks department, which offers white label insurance and assistance to major partners, including banks and retailers, and groups, such as trade unions and professional bodies. In this role, she worked with clients and partners on the impacts of digital transformation in the areas of distribution, management and the development of products and services.
