COCA-COLA BOTTLERS JAPAN HOLDINGS INC. Announcement of Board of Directors and Auditors of Subsidiaries of Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc.
March 23, 2017 -- Coca-Cola West Co., Ltd. (CCW) and Coca-Cola East Japan Co., Ltd. (CCEJ)
today announced that proposed integration to form Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. (CCBJI) as of April 1, 2017 has been resolved at each company's annual general shareholders meeting held on March 22 and 23, respectively. Also, both companies announced board of directors and auditors of CCW and CCEJ, which will become subsidiaries of CCBJI as of April 1, 2017.
The new company, CCBJI will be Asia's largest and world's third largest Coca-Cola bottler in terms of revenue among 250+ Coca-Cola bottlers worldwide. CCBJI will deliver approximately 90% of the volume sold by the Coca-Cola system in Japan. CCBJI will reflect the best from community-based Japanese bottlers as well as the global best practices of the Coca-Cola system to lead the growth of NARTD beverage industry and the Coca-Cola system in Japan. CCBJI also will remain focused on conducting its business locally, through activities of its subsidiaries, CCW and CCEJ.
