Cochlear Limited is proud to be the sponsor of the inaugural Cochlear Autumn School of Engineering to give Sydney metropolitan area high school students a better understanding of what engineering is and how it works in everyday life.

The initiative, organised by Engineers Australia, Sydney Division, 'Engineering' Universities and participating Rotary Clubs, will take place from Monday 13 to Friday 17 April 2015.

The sponsorship reflects Cochlear commitment to drive advanced engineering in Australia and develop future engineering talent.

Cochlear Autumn School of Engineering will bring together 50 young men and women from years 11 and 12 from Sydney metropolitan area and who are facing choices that will influence their future careers.

Throughout the program the students will meet and interact with professional engineers employed by private companies including Cochlear, government, researchers and academics in a wide range of engineering disciplines. The students will attend lectures/demonstrations at participating NSW universities, and participate in industrial visits, providing students with the opportunity to see the different engineering disciplines at work.
