Being firmly committed to corporate sustainability and believing in the intelligence and creative spirit of the Egyptian youth, Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB) initiated a business plan competition for the students of Egyptian universities about reviving the Giza Zoo, in partnership with ENACTUS Egypt.

The competition focused on developing the infrastructure of the Giza Zoo to restore its position as an educational and entertainment center that serves the millions of visitors annually in a convenient and sustainable manner.

The Giza Zoo holds a special place in the hearts and minds of all generations of Egyptians, and it is part of the country's collective identity and Egypt's heritage.

All participating Egyptian university teams conducted several field trips to the Zoo, culminating in the presentation of comprehensive business plans to the Bank. The business plans were assessed by a panel of highly experienced judges from different fields of engineering, operations, and finance. The three teams with the winning business plans were Mansoura Academy (1st Place), Shobra Engineering (2nd Place), and Ain Shams University (3rd Place). CIB granted the winning teams certificates of appreciation as well as cash prizes in recognition of their distinctive efforts.

CIB has expressed its appreciation to all who participated and contributed to the success of the competition, specially the cooperation and assistance of the Organization for Veterinary Services, Giza Zoo Administration and ENACTUS team.
