TINTON FALLS, N.J., Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CommVault (NASDAQ: CVLT), a leading global provider of data and information management software solutions, has announced its 2014-2015 Hockey Helping Kids schedule, opening its 15(th) season of raising much-needed funding and awareness for deserving children's charities in the surrounding communities where games are scheduled to take place.

Since it began in 2000, CommVault's Hockey Helping Kids program has increased local awareness of the missions and activities of many children's charities around the country. This year, the program will provide financial support for the Autism Society of Greater Philadelphia; Temple University Athletics for Kids; the Coyotes Alumni Association for Youth Hockey; the Long Island Chapter of Autism Speaks; Hendrickson's Foundation for Special Hockey, a group dedicated to providing hockey opportunities to disabled children; the Autism Society of Minnesota; and the Autism Society of Ohio. To date, the program has raised more than $700,000 for these charities and many others that are dedicated to providing essential services for needy children.

A number of sponsors, including Microsoft Corp., Windows Server, Windows Azure, ShopRite Village Supermarkets, SHI, NetApp, the Minnesota NHL Alumni Association, Harrington Executive Search, RBA Consulting, Bjork Builders, and D&M Auto Body, team up with CommVault to help finance each event. Each event features a JV game in which partners and customers face off against each other on NHL ice, the featured NHL Hockey match up at each venue, and a Varsity game in which CommVault's Employee Hockey Team plays against another team that usually consists of celebrated Olympic and NHL veteran players.

"Fifteen years of passionate Hockey Helping Kids team spirit has enabled our employees to partner with others in our industry and in the communities we serve to support organizations that help disadvantaged youth," said N. Robert Hammer, Chairman, President and CEO, CommVault. "I am proud that we continue to engage in this philanthropic endeavor that combines fun and funding and that clearly demonstrates what caring is all about."

"When asked what makes the Microsoft/CommVault Alliance so strong, I of course point to our shared vision on the future of technology, but it's really much more than that," commented Don Woods, global ISV partner business executive for Microsoft Corporation. "We also share a culture of giving back to our communities and the importance of providing life-changing opportunities to inspire at-risk children. That's why I'm so proud to partner with CommVault and why I'm so proud of the work we've done together with the Hockey Helping Kids program."
