The popular Alhambra motif features on new black onyx earrings

The four-leaved Alhambra icon, introduced by Van Cleef & Arpels in 1968, is the signature motif of the brand - it's often spotted on dainty bracelets, pendants and earrings, particularly in the Middle East, where the icon is a favourite among the style-conscious elite. But while it's common to spot Alhambra studs in the ears of some of these women, never before have we seen the motif in black and with a diamond in its centre.
Last autumn, the French high-jewellery house unveiled a limited-edition Vintage Alhambra pendant, crafted from onyx and pink gold, and featuring a round diamond in the middle of the clover.

And, this holiday season, Van Cleef & Arpels is launching matching earrings, also featuring pink gold, onyx and a sparkling diamond. Classic, sophisticated and incredibly alluring, they're sure to be a hit in this region's market.
