Compal Electronics, Inc. ('Compal') (TAIEX: 2324) today announced 1-3Q17 consolidated financial results. Consolidated revenue was NT$632,816 million, +16% YoY, contributed by the growth of both computing products and smart devices. Consolidated operating profit was NT$6,762 million, -22% YoY, which was impacted by the NT$3,588 million inventory and A/R impairment loss from Leshi in 1H17. Consolidated net profit was NT$3,972 million, and net profit attributed to the parent company was NT$3,652 million. Earnings per share (EPS) was NT$0.84 in 1-3Q17.
Consolidated revenue in 3Q17 was NT$231,609 million, +8% QoQ and +17% YoY. Consolidated operating profit was NT$2,920 million, -16% YoY, as the result of product and customer mix change. Consolidated net profit was NT$2,447 million, and net profit contributed to the parent company was NT$2,324 million. EPS was NT$0.53 in 3Q17.
