CompuGroup Medical Acquires Belgian Advanced Technology Explained (ATX)

Koblenz (Germany) / Nevele (Belgium), December 4, 2017 - CompuGroup Medical SE (CGM) concluded a transaction to acquire 100 % of Advanced Technology Explained N.V. (ATX). The Belgian company develops software solutions for dentists, orthodontists, and periodontists. Following the recent acquisition of Barista in August 2017, ATX is the next step to strengthen CompuGroup Medical's presence in Belgium. CompuGroup Medical is thereby once more confirming its intention to continuing investments into the Belgian eHealth market for the benefit of its customers. CGM plays a leading role in the development of global eHealth solutions and enjoys market leadership in Germany as well as in other key European countries.

ATX is based in Wetteren, Belgium and develops software solutions for dentists, orthodontists, and periodontists under the name of DentAdmin. The Belgian market leader serves customers in Luxembourg, too. The former ATX owner and his team stay on board to go on with the development and further expansion of the product. The ATX acquisition also marks CGM's entry into the dental market in this region.
