News Release -- September 19, 2014

Canberra, Australia, 19 September 2014 - CSC (NYSE: CSC), a global leader in next-generation IT services and solutions, and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) today announced the commencement of the implementation of the Defence eHealth Information System.

For the first time, health professionals throughout the ADF's Joint Health Command will have access to aggregated health information at the point of care and at all levels of management throughout the Command.

The system supports the delivery of primary health care to the ADF, providing each member with a comprehensive eHealth record from enlistment through to retirement as well as health management information focused on improving health care outcomes, and contributing to overall force readiness.

"CSC in partnership with the Department of Defence is successfully delivering one of the most complex business transformation programmes undertaken by the ADF,"said Seelan Nayagam , managing director, CSC Australia. "CSC has been a trusted partner for the ADF for 42 years, and this implementation cements our position as one of the leading systems integrators in both Health and Defence in Australia."

Solution development of the eHealth Information System began in January 2011 alongside three CSC strategic partners: Edgton Medical Information System (EMIS) Ltd, Kellogg Brown and Root Pty Ltd (KBR) and PwC Australia. The Australia-wide rollout commenced in April 2014 in Queensland and has already begun to contribute to improved clinical outcomes for ADF members and overall efficiency of primary care delivery.

Rear Admiral Robyn Walker, AM, Commander Joint Health Command and Surgeon General of the Australian Defence Force said, "This represents a significant milestone in our ability improve the health outcomes for all members of the ADF."

CSC was awarded the project in 2011 after a competitive tender process and has been responsible for systems integration, solution development, project management, organisational change management, user training, and ongoing system hosting and system support.
