WAKEFIELD, Mass., Aug. 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comverse (Nasdaq:CNSI), the global leader in telecom business enablement, today announced a new release of the Comverse Kenan FX postpaid billing solution.

Following the most recent Kenan version made available in 2012, this new release supports rapid expansion into new service lines and business models such as WiFi offload, vouchers, and machine-to-machine (M2M). Other key highlights of the new release include virtualization to reduce CAPEX and enhanced support for enterprise and wholesale businesses. The release lays the groundwork for continued evolution, with additional releases planned to follow according to the roadmap.

"For new customers as well as for our global and diverse Kenan customer base with varying needs, we are continuing to invest to provide the appropriate evolution paths to support their continued business success," said Gabriel Matsliach, SVP, Chief Marketing & Product Officer at Comverse. "Some Kenan customers have made enhancements to their existing installation or have evolved to the most recent release; others extend their ecosystem with additional capabilities from Comverse such as real-time charging, or upgrade to full converged BSS."

"This new release is part of Comverse's continued commitment to enable all of our customers to maintain market leadership, boost profitability, and sharpen their competitive edge through innovation and cost reduction," commented Robert Barrows, Associate Vice President and Kenan Business Leader.
