BACKGROUND COMPANY EXPLORATION UPDATEFurther to its announcement on 23rd February 2017, Consolidated Tin Mines Ltd (ACN 126 634 606) (ASX Code: CSD) (Company) is pleased to advise that drilling at the Mt Garnet Deeps project is well underway. The drilling program represents the first stage of the company's exploration strategy to develop additional base metal resources to provide additional ore reserves for the Company's Mt Garnet processing plant.
The delivery of additional resources from the exploration plan is reliant on the testing and development of known targets to maintain a progressive flow of projects through the development pipeline. A comprehensive list of priority targets exists and is being continually developed to facilitate this process.
Drilling to date on the Mt Garnet Deeps target has been encouraging and has confirmed the existence of a continuous mineralised shoot at depth parallel to that which underpins the Mt Garnet Resources and Reserves.

PROGRESSThe Mt Garnet Deeps drilling program comprises 12 planned drill holes with Reverse Circulation (RC) precollars and diamond core (DD) tails. A total of 1,980m of RC and 3,380m of DD has been planned. RC precollars are utilized to reduce costs through the predominantly barren hanging wall sequence.
Drilling was designed to infill a gap in deeper drilling and confirm the presence of an interpreted mineralised shoot parallel and at depth to the main orebody. To date drilling has confirmed the presence of this mineralised shoot and also indicates that it extends up dip near surface to the south of the current open pit.
At the time of this release 70% of the drill plan has been completed with results for 50% of the program being returned.
