In the second quarter of 2015, the Constantin Medien Group continued its positive operating trend from the previous quarters and has achieved a successful first half-year 2015. The business performance of the media company was in part above own expectations in the first six months. Thereby, a better than expected result in the Segment Sports faced a planned weaker development in the Segment Film. Group sales in the first half-year reached EUR 195.7 million (6M 2014: EUR 246.5 million), particularly due to film release-dependent seasonal fluctuations as well as high prior year sales in license trading and home entertainment in the Segment Film. Based on unchanged currency conditions, the Management Board is still assuming Group sales to range between EUR 450 million and EUR 490 million. Earnings attributable to shareholders amounted to EUR -0.3 million in the first six months 2015, after EUR -6.4 million in the same period in 2014, and thus almost reached the bottom end of the previously projected target range (EUR 0 million to EUR 2 million) for the full-year 2015. Taking into account the holding costs as well as financing expenses and taxes, the Management Board is now expecting earnings attributable to shareholders from EUR 2 million to EUR 4 million.
