• Patrick Fischer will be the new Managing Director effective April 1, 2014
  • Thomas Deissenberger has decided to resign and pursue new professional challenges

As of April 1, 2014, Patrick Fischer will be the new Managing Director of Constantin Sport Marketing GmbH. Mr. Fischer (38) comes from Burda Intermedia Publishing GmbH, where he was the Director Digital since March 2012. He will be Thomas Deissenberger's successor, who will be leaving the company on March 31, 2014 on his own accord and in amicable agreement to pursue new professional challenges.

In his new function, Patrick Fischer will be responsible for the traditional advertising and sponsoring business of Constantin Medien AG's subsidiary. In the management board of Constantin Sport Marketing GmbH, Patrick Fischer will be accompanied by Dr. Matthias Kirschenhofer, the Management Director Entertainment, who will continue to be responsible for marketing areas beyond from traditional advertising and sponsoring business - among others, DRTV, added-value services, sports betting, call-in. Leif Arne Anders will continue to act as the Commercial Managing Director. Patrick Fischer will report directly to Bernhard Burgener, CEO of Constantin Medien AG.

Patrick Fischer switches from Hubert Burda Media to Constantin Sport Marketing:  He was the Director Digital of Burda Intermedia Publishing GmbH in Munich since March 2012; from July 2009 to February 2012 he was Director Online and Director Online & Innovation of the Burda Style Group and from February to June 2009, Director Digital Marketing & Sales of Burda Community Network. From 2009 to March 2014, he was also the President of BurdaStyle INC, New York. Before that, Patrick Fischer worked from 2007 to the end of 2008 at Axel Springer in Berlin: first as Director Sales of Bild.T-Online.de AG & Co. KG / BILD digital GmbH and then as Head of Digital Sales at Axel Springer AG / Axel Springer Media Impact. From 2003 to 2007, he was the Head of Ad-Sales at Interactive Media GmbH in Darmstadt, a 100-percent subsidiary of T-Online International AG, and then as the Division Manager of National Key Account Management. From 2001 to 2003, Patrick Fischer was the Key Account Manager of Ad-Sales at T-Online International in Weiterstadt. He started his career in marketing in 1999 at Angela Liedler GmbH and Virtual Identity AG, both in Freiburg.
