The Constantin Medien subsidiary, PLAZAMEDIA GmbH, strengthens its digital orientation and bundles the corresponding activities into the new management area Digital Products - similar to Sport1 GmbH already. The Managing Director position Digital Products will be assumed by Robin Seckler (42) as of September 1, 2016; thereby expanding the PLAZAMEDIA management team comprising of Jens Friedrichs (Managing Director Production) and Stephan Katzmann (Managing Director Finance). Mr. Seckler's areas of responsibility will also include Sales and IT. He will assume this function as parallel to his function as Managing Director Digital Products at Sport1 GmbH and will continue to report directly to Olaf Schröder, Chief Officer Sports of Constantin Medien AG.

In addition to the expansion of the conventional broadcasting activities, PLAZAMEDIA's focus will particularly lie on the further and new development of digital products and production activities such as cloud-based IT infrastructures and offers. And, given the growing fragmentation of the media distribution channels, it will focus on specific solutions, among others, on OTT or social media platforms.

Information about Robin Seckler
Already in 1988, Robin Seckler (born in 1973) founded his own software and consulting company. In 1996, he started at I-D Media AG, previously Europe's leading online agency, as the Senior Vice President and authorized signatory. Starting in 2005, he was at Deutsche Telekom AG as the Vice President Community Services in the areas of Social Media and IPTV projects. Afterwards, at Hubert Burda Media, Robin Seckler was responsible for the digital activities of the Burda People Group as Head of Online Strategy and Sales. In 2009, Robin Seckler joined ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG first as Head of Online TV Brands, and then as Director of Business Operations for the platforms: prosieben.de, sat1.de, kabeleins.de and sixx.de. Later, as a Managing Director, he managed various departments at wetter.com. In January 2013, Robin Seckler became Director Digital at Sport1 GmbH. In December 2013, he was appointed Managing Director Digital Products of the management team at SPORT1 and since then has been responsible for all the digital activities of the sports media brand.
