The focus is on high-quality products which contribute to superior and contemporary interiors in commercial vehicles and meet all the sector's specifications relating to fitness for purpose and durability. "By now bringing all the commercial vehicle applications into one business unit we are sending out a clear signal that we also intend to grow further outside the passenger car sector - and on a global scale," says Jens Wolandewitsch, who heads up the new sales team.

He is aware bus and truck drivers spend a large part of their working lives in the vehicle and therefore set great store by pleasant and comfortable surroundings. A cab which looks appealing and uses materials with a natural feel makes a significant contribution to their quality of life. At the same time, the surface materials in the vehicle interior are sometimes subject to greater stresses than, for instance, in passenger cars. "For that reason, our products feature not only a particular aesthetic appeal and outstanding design, but also a high level of functionality."

For example, no other surface material based on weight-saving TPO films is as scratch-resistant as Benecke-Kaliko's product developments. For all product groups customers have the choice between the basic product, an enhanced basic product or customized manufacture.

Monitoring International and Regional Trends
As a development partner for renowned international manufacturers of commercial vehicles, Benecke-Kaliko is fully aware of the requirements made of surface materials for vehicle interiors. "Whether we're dealing with a truck, bus or van, we know how to create a harmonious overall look in the cab and passenger compartment which meets all the specifications relating to functionality and durability," emphasizes Wolandewitsch.

Benecke-Kaliko's designers and developers work closely with customers and engineers and constantly monitor international and regional trends. They jointly develop a formal vocabulary which backs up and accentuates the vehicle's overall aesthetic while also taking account of functional aspects.

With its modern production sites and sales offices in Europe, Asia and North and South America, Benecke-Kaliko has a global market presence. "This means we are able to service our customers' individual requirements optimally with local designs and with local sales, support and purchasing staff," says Wolandewitsch. Wherever possible, product groups are manufactured in local plants. As a result, customers benefit from short transportation distances, while uniform material and process standards ensure that they receive the same product, engineering and service quality wherever they are in the world.
