  • Original air springs meet the specifications of OEMs design

Moscow, September 2015. ContiTech is expanding its presence on the Russian market. To strengthen sales and simplify collaboration with Russian customers, the specialist in plastics technology has established the local company ContiTech Rus. At Comtrans in Moscow from September 8 to 12, 2015, ContiTech Air Spring Systems will also be presenting a Russian-language version of its successful web app. "With this, we are giving our regional customers and partners mobile access to our air spring catalog via smartphone," says Alexander Papadimitriou, head of Independent Aftermarket at Air Spring Systems.

The app locates the right ContiTech - or, alternatively, PHOENIX - air spring when the competitor's designation or the OE part number is entered. In addition, a sub-menu enables users to obtain valuable product information such as technical data and drawings based on the ContiTech online catalog. This information can also be downloaded in PDF format.

The web app can be accessed at www.airspringapp.com and is also available in German, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Polish. Alternatively, you can download the app directly onto your smartphone by scanning the QR code found on information brochures and advertisements.

Focus on quality
For ContiTech Air Spring Systems, Russia is, and will remain, an interesting market with a great deal of growth potential. Demand for high-quality spare parts in particular remains stable. "We have noticed that customers pay greater attention to quality in difficult times," comments Sergey Tretiakov, general manager of ContiTech Rus.

Air springs from ContiTech demonstrate the company's expertise as an original equipment manufacturer. Since these are original air springs developed as original equipment, they are guaranteed to meet the highest quality requirements that fulfill the specifications of vehicle manufacturers in the replacement business, too. Customers in the replacement market are benefiting from the development expertise that ContiTech has built up in close collaboration with manufacturers and is bringing to bear in the development of new product solutions.

Expertise for Driver's Seats
A driver's seat that is equipped with ContiTech products as standard will also be on show at Comtrans. A sleeve air spring from ContiTech Air Spring Systems enables an ergonomic and comfortable driver's workstation that reduces the vehicle driver's tiredness and health risks. Another advantage compared with a steel spring: thanks to the air spring, the seat height remains stable - even if drivers of different body weights use the vehicle.

The driver's seat cover materials come from the surface specialist Benecke-Kaliko, a ContiTech business unit. Acella is used for the seat bolsters for example, while the sitting area uses a perforated Acella. The material has already proven its worth a million times over in production vehicles and offers particularly impressive wear resistance. The back of the seat is covered with Acella Go. The cost-efficient decorative material is particularly suitable for decorative surfaces, door panels, and secondary seat surfaces.
