Hanover, 16 January 2014. On January 1, 2014 Continental Commercial Specialty Tires has appointed Thorsten A. Bublitz as new Business-Line Manager Agro. In this role he will be supervising the international expansion of all agricultural activities. In addition to his comprehensive sales background with agricultural tires Bublitz also has longstanding experience with the Continental AG. He reports to Dr. Michael Maertens, Managing Director of the business unit Continental CST.

"With Thorsten A. Bublitz we gained an international experienced manager for our agricultural product", says Maertens. "We will extend and enlarge our product range and customer service portfolio in the next years. Our strategy is to offer customized solutions for special requirements in promising markets. The growth market for agricultural equipment is one of the segments, where our clients benefit from our many years of experience and worldwide capabilities." In 2013 Continental CST has already launched a new tire portfolio for the harbor business and committed significant investments for the underground mining product portfolio over the next years.


Thorsten A. Bublitz is new Business-Line Manager Agro at Continental Commercial Specialty Tires.

Bublitz joined Continental from the SGL Group Wiesbaden, Germany where he was since 2007 responsible for graphite electrodes in the EMEA region - first as Key Account Manager and later as Director Sales and Technical Service. Between 1983 and 2004 he already worked 20 years for Continental AG, in his last position overseeing sales and marketing for Continental agricultural tires. Between 2004 and 2007 he was head of Marketing and Sales Agro Tires of Ceska Gumarensks Spolecnost in Prague, Czech Republic. In this position he was also Managing Director Marketing and Sales CGS Reifen Deutschland GmbH in Hanover, Germany. Bublitz holds a degree in Business Administration (VWA) and completed a training as industrial manager at Continental AG.
