Volaris* (NYSE: VLRS and BMV: VOLAR), the ultra-low-cost airline serving Mexico, the United States and Central America, reports January 2018 preliminary traffic results.

During January 2018 Volaris increased total capacity, as measured in Available Seat Miles (ASMs), by 5.5% year over year. Total demand, as measured in Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs), in January 2018 increased 0.4% year over year, reaching 1.4 billion. Volaris transported a total of 1.5 million passengers during the month, a decrease of 2.1% year over year.

In January 2018, Volaris increased domestic and international ASMs by 5.3% and 5.8%, respectively. Network load factor for January was 80.1%.
