NOVI, Mich., Aug. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooper-Standard Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CPS), the parent Company of Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc. ("Cooper Standard"), today announced the appointment of Brigit R. Anthony to vice president, engineering and technology, North America, effective August 3. In this position, Anthony will lead the North American team of over 300engineers, scientists and technicians in engineering and technical centers in Southeast Michigan; Auburn, Indiana; Bowling Green, Ohio and Mitchell, Ontario. Based at Cooper Standard's North American headquarters in Novi, she will report to Bill Pumphrey, senior vice president and president of North America.

Most recently, Anthony served as senior director, Americas technical center for Halla Visteon Climate Control Corp., where she had North and South American engineering responsibilities, as well as led the regional customer executive technical interface to achieve new business development, growth, forward model launches and current model deliverables. She joined Halla Visteon in 2013 as senior director, global powertrain cooling systems and heat exchanger engineering, where she was responsible for global product design and manufacturing standardization, and core engineering.

From 1997 to 2013, Anthony was employed at Visteon Automotive Systems in a series of roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she served as senior director, global HVAC and powertrain cooling product lines where she had global leadership and responsibility for profitability, new technology, business plan strategy, pursuit, development, launch, design manufacturing and purchasing.

She began her career as a product, manufacturing, test and resident climate engineer at Ford Motor Co.

Anthony earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Masters of Engineering degree in thermal science from the University of Michigan in Dearborn. She has also completed executive business training at the International Executive School in Barcelona, Spain and completed the Menttium 100 Executive Professional Women Business Leadership Program. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women. Anthony was named a Crain's Detroit Business Woman to Watch in 2008 and has earned a number of industry-related quality honors.
