Acton Gardens, the major regeneration of the South Acton Estate in West London by Countryside and L&Q, has been shortlisted in the 'Regeneration' category at the RICS Awards.

Acton Gardens, Countryside and L&Q's flagship estate regeneration scheme, in partnership with Ealing Council, is transforming the architecture, fortunes and reputation of South Acton, whilst retaining the strong community spirit; replacing 1,800 life-expired homes with 2,800 high-quality homes, of which 50% will be affordable, in 11 development phases between 2011 and 2026.

The RICS Awards, run by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, showcases the achievements of the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the environment. The London Regional Awards are taking place on 16 May 2018 at the Royal Lancaster London.

Mike Woolliscroft, Managing Director for West London at Countryside Partnerships South, said: 'We're thrilled with our shortlisting for the RICS Awards, which is testament to the unique approach we are pioneering at Acton Gardens. Our innovative regeneration strategy is proof that deep partnership between developers, a local authority, and the local community can not only transform the lives of an entire community but of future generations.'
