Award-winning home builder, Countryside, has sponsored a local 'Club Fun Day' for children, families and friends at the Runwell Sports and Social Club. The event was held on Saturday, July 7th and attracted visitors from across the county of Essex.

Among the various activities that were held on the day were archery and go-karting, while bouncy castles also providing plenty of fun for the attendees. A number of shows added further entertainment on the day, including a classic sports car show, dance performances and a Radio-controlled aircraft display that wowed children and adults alike.

The Runwell clubhouse, a social hub of the local community that is situated on the former grounds of Runwell Hospital, opened its bar and also held a BBQ, which sizzled all day long while a DJ provided tunes for the day.

Much-loved Countryside mascot and friendly face Bill Ding was also present during the event to provide plenty of balloons and photograph opportunities for the children.

The Club Fun Day opened to the public at 12 noon, with activities that ran from 1pm through to 5pm. Wristbands were available to purchase on the day for £5 each.
