The Mayor of Cambridge, Councillor George Pippas, recently visited Countryside's Great Kneighton development in Cambridge to celebrate 10 years since planning was first submitted for the site. After officially opening Roseum Gardens, a new park and play area, the Mayor was taken on an exclusive tour of the development, and given an insight to how Countryside has successfully established this thriving new community.

Accompanied by representatives from Countryside, the Mayor was taken on a tour of two of the residential developments at Great Kneighton, Abode and Novo, to view the exciting new homes available. The remarkable integrated mixed-use development is now almost complete, comprising residential, educational, social and commercial places for its growing community to call home.

On his visit, the Mayor of Cambridge, Councillor George Pippas, commented: 'I am delighted to have been invited back to Great Kneighton to see the fantastic progress that has been made since my last visit. It was great to meet the team involved in the site, and see that the homes and community facilities that were envisaged at the early planning stages have been delivered.'

Marc Jellis, Sales Manager of Countryside's New Homes & Communities Central Division, comments:

'We are delighted to have had the opportunity to welcome the Mayor of Cambridge, Councillor George Pippas, to our developments at Great Kneighton, to celebrate 10 years since planning was submitted. Over that time, Great Kneighton has evolved into a vibrant place to live and is home to a genuinely flourishing community. With an extensive range of properties to suit a variety of buyers, plus the new community facilities, we believe the community will continue to thrive.'
