The unique design of the latest phase at Bath's leading new property development is proving a real hit with house hunters looking for a new home in the world heritage city.

Appearing to have no beginning or end, the curved design of Royal View has become a real talking point for discerning house hunters wanting something different to live in.

Designed by award-winning architects Studio Egret West, the figure of eight of Royal View creates depth while maximising the views. Creating a sense of fluidity across all eight floors of the building, it purposefully contrasts with other elements of the Bath Riverside masterplan, responding to the landscape and waterside setting.

In general curves are regarded to be more beautiful than straight lines, while in architecture they are often used so that a building can best capture the views surrounding it.

Next to the fully restored Victoria Bridge and about a 15 minute walk from Bath City centre, those fortunate enough to move into one of the one and two-bedroom apartments will be able to enjoy a vista that includes The Royal Crescent, Royal Victoria Park and the rooftops of Bath.

Marcus Evans, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson said: 'Royal View is a stunning edition to the Bath cityscape. It adds a rhythm and liveliness that hasn't existed before in the city. It has the right balance of shape and detail and makes the building pleasing to look at, no matter where you are.

'It also contrasts well with the other architecture on the development and is why Bath Riverside has sold so well since it was launched.

'For some, curvature has a profound effect on our feelings as it mimics the human body and nature's organic forms, so it seems the design of Royal View has certainly worked when it comes to drawing in house hunters.'

But it's not just the outside that has impressed house hunters and follows the unveiling of a stunning atrium which stretches from the ground floor all the way up the eight stories of the building to the vast skylight above.

Including planted columns that mirror the organic surroundings of the building, this feature acts as the communal heart to the building and is unlike anything ever seen before in the world heritage city.

The idea behind the atrium is that it connects residents with the outside elements, providing a direct link with the sky above while drawing in natural light.

Marcus added: 'The unveiling of the atrium inside the building is hugely exciting and has provided yet another reason for house hunters to come and take a look.

'The curvature of the outside is also mirrored inside with the balustrade on each floor incorporating a design that has a natural flow with no beginning or end.'

With the first completions expected towards the end of October, anyone interested in buying a property are now being advised to visit soon so they can choose from the remaining selection of two-bedroom apartments.
