Young couple Amie and Mark are celebrating their new home, having purchased a semi-detached, four-bedroom townhouse at Crest Nicholson's Elysian Gardens development in Balsall Common. The couple bought the house for £459,950 using the government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which enabled them to secure the property with a lower deposit.

The development stood out to the couple as they were struck by the retained traditional feel on offer. 'Elysian Gardens is a really attractive development, and the homes here come with high quality fixtures and fittings which sets them apart from other new build developments we had seen.'

Having lived in Balsall Common since 2011, Amie and Mark knew that they wanted to continue living in the area but did not think it would be possible to afford a four-bedroomed property locally. 'Balsall Common is more like a small town now, but we feel it's managed to retain a village feel', Amie explains. The new home owners also praised the semi-rural location of Elysian Gardens, as Amie notes, 'we have easy access to a number of useful amenities in the local area and enjoy a really good selection of places to eat and drink all within walking distance. We're close to Solihull, Kenilworth and Warwick which have lots to offer. We love the fact that there are fields and public footpaths on our doorstep which we can enjoy exploring with the dog.'

The couple previously lived in a two-bedroom semi-detached house on the other side of Balsall Common but were looking for some extra space as they look ahead to starting a family. 'Our new home at Elysian Gardens has almost doubled the space that we previously had, which is what we really needed as we look ahead to our future', comments Amie. She adds, 'the primary and secondary schools in Balsall Common have a very good reputation and are both within easy walking distance from our new home.'

Working locally as a physiotherapist, the practice in which Amie works is within walking distance from the development. Mark works as an Engineer at the nearby Jaguar Land Rover Engineering Centre in Coventry and so he also enjoys a straight forward commute to work each day, as the development is just a 15-minute drive from the village.

Since moving into their brand-new home at Elysian Gardens, Amie and Mark have not had to make any large scale changes to the property. The house they purchased was previously a show home at the development, so the couple benefitted from buying the home complete with bespoke fixtures and fittings.

'The team at Crest Nicholson were fantastic throughout the buying process, really friendly and personable', Amie concludes, 'they were very informative and went above and beyond to facilitate our completion.' Since moving into their property, Amie and Mark have been very pleased with the care that they have received from the Customer Services team.

Homes at Elysian Gardens start from £179, 950 for a one-bedroom apartment. To view the stunning show apartment on site, Elysian Gardens is open Thursday - Monday, 10am - 5pm. To find out more information, call 01676 545247 or visit https://www.crestnicholson.com/elysiangardens
