December xx, 2015 - Qualcomm Incorporated today announced that its subsidiary, Qualcomm Technologies International Ltd is now shipping DirectOffice™ direct rendering software in several new multifunction printers (MFPs) from Sharp. The recently launched MX-2650FN, MX-3150FN and MX-3650FN in Japan, and the MX-3070N, MX-3570N and MX-4070N in North America utilize DirectOffice to enable quick printing of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents directly from mobile devices, the cloud and USB drives, without the need for a PC, Office application or print driver.

'In today's increasingly mobile world, consumers want to be able to print documents on the go directly from their smart and mobile devices or directly from the cloud with the same ease and quality as they get from a PC connected printer,' said Anthony Murray, senior vice president and general manager, IoT, Qualcomm Technologies International Ltd. 'By including DirectOffice software in its MFPs, Sharp creates a consumer friendly and always available 'off ramp' to produce hard copies directly from connected devices and the cloud.'
