Move X "SAII" Tanto Custom X "Top Edition SAII"
Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. today announced the partially upgraded models of its mini passenger vehicles "Move" and "Tanto." Sales of both commence on Monday, May 11th nationwide.
In this partial upgrade, the crash-avoidance assistance system Smart Assist II has been adopted for both Move and Tanto. Camera has been newly installed with Smart Assist to enhance the performance of the crash-avoidance assistance system, which has been adopted for best-selling mini passenger vehicles*1 with sales of over 600,000 units. Though new functions have been added and performance has been improved, these advanced devices are offered at an affordable price.
The enhanced Smart Assist II is equipped with new functions: A collision warning function (for pedestrians) and a lane departure warning function. Moreover, conventional functions have also been improved, such as the expansion of the operation speed of the crash-avoidance braking
function to cover the range of about 4 to 50 km/h*2.
As a celebration for Tanto becoming the best-selling mini passenger vehicle of 2014, LED fog lamps and dedicated 14-inch aluminum wheels*3 have been installed on the popular "Top Edition", making the vehicles even more attractive. Moreover usability and basic performance have been further improved through such additions as a one-touch-open function for the power sliding door and the installation of VSC and TRC*4 as standard equipment for all vehicles.

New functions
Collision warning function (for pedestrians)
This function identifies pedestrians in front of the vehicle while running at a speed of about 4 to
50 km/h, and alerts the driver of the danger with a buzzer and warning lamp inside the meter when the risk of a collision is detected.
Lane Departure Warning Function
This function alerts the driver of the danger with a buzzer and warning lamp inside the meter when the vehicle is running at a speed of over 60 km/h and deviates from its lane with the blinker turned off.
Enhanced Performance
Crash-avoidance braking function
Conventionally, this function identifies vehicles in front of the vehicle while running at a speed of about 4 to 30 km/h, activates the emergency brake in case of a high collision risk and thereby helps reduce damage and avoid collisions.
Now, it identifies vehicles in front of the vehicle*5 while running at a speed of about 4 to 50 km/h,

A more user-friendly and attractive Tanto
