Daihatsu Motor : to Exhibit Its Latest Compact Welfare Cars at "The 20th Barrier Free 2014"

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Daihatsu) plans to exhibit its compact welfare cars at "The
20th Barrier Free 2014," the largest general welfare exhibition in western Japan, offering solutions for comfortable lifestyles for the elderly and disabled, which will be held at Intex Osaka (Nanko-kita,
Suminoe-ku, Osaka) between Thursday, April 17 and Saturday, April 19.
In December, 2013, in response to the growing interest in the aging population and welfare society, Daihatsu announced that it will establish a sales system of welfare vehicles with the perspective of dealerships, test vehicles, and sales staff. In this exhibition, six units of four types of the latest compact welfare cars will be exhibited in an expanded exhibition space of 324 m² (previous exhibition: 270 m²), and the outline of the "Approved Friendship Shop*," one of Daihatsu's
efforts that is being reinforced, will be introduced in a way that is easy to understand.
Daihatsu will continue to proactively work to create vehicles that meet customer's lifestyles and needs for a safe and comfortable form of transportation by developing the "friendship series," easy-to-handle economic compact welfare cars, and providing comprehensive sales services, including after-sales service.

With the new model "Tanto" released in October 2013 as the base car, the Tanto Sloper (wheelchair accessible vehicle), with quality riding comfort and easy boarding/deboarding, the Tanto Welcome Seat (vehicle with passenger seat lift), and the Move Front Seat Lift that
won the Special Achievement Award at the 2013-2014 Car of the Year Japan Award, and the
Atrai Sloper will be exhibited.
