Leading provider of energy information Genscape is providing insight on how the weather in the USA is affecting transmission systems. Genscape analyst Brian McIntosh says there is "stress on the transmission system" as a result of high temperatures in the mid-Atlantic, which is increasing demand on PJM Interconnection LLC's Eastern hub.

Genscape is responding to the new final rule from the EPA on the renewable fuel standard's quality assurance plan. Genscape's Vice President of Biofuels, Susan Olson, says the company is seeking more information about a change that appears to prevent RIN agents from being QAP auditors. Olson says the company will soon be responding to customers with the delivery of a new commercial RIN replacement solution.
