Stuttgart/Berlin. Lab1886 is the main sponsor of this year's re:publica, which is being held from 2 to 4 May 2018 under the motto 're:publica goes POP' at STATION Berlin. With talks, workshops and discussion panels, Lab1886 is presenting future-oriented mobility topics at the biggest digital conference in Europe. Highlights include the panel with Susanne Hahn, Head of Lab1886 Global, and Alex Zosel, co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of Volocopter GmbH, on mobility in the third dimension, as well as the interview by Ralf Reichert, the Director of Turtle Entertainment who runs Electronic Sports League (ESL), with Dr Jens Thiemer, Vice President Marketing Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, on the significance of eSports in the digital society.

In 15 sessions Lab1886 and its Shuttle Truck will be giving many Group initiatives a stage, demonstrating the diversity of innovation of Daimler AG. The spectrum of topics ranges from digital mobility solutions for people with disabilities through innovative services related to car parking to projects which are driving forward Daimler's transformation into an integral mobility service provider. In its activities Lab1886 concentrates on aspects which ensure a sustainable and profitable future for Daimler AG, supporting the Group in retaining its leading position in a new era of mobility. Top speakers on key issues of tomorrow

The focus of Lab1886's involvement at re:publica is the exchange of ideas with visitors. Alongside the Shuttle Truck in the outside area, Daimler AG's incubator will also be presenting itself with its own interactive stand. It embodies the pioneering spirit of Lab1886 and is presenting projects from this innovation hub. At re:publica 2018 Daimler is demonstrating how the company is continuing to shape future mobility and how it is utilising the opportunities that come with digitisation.

About re:publica

re:publica has been held annually in Berlin since 2007 and is one of the world's leading conferences on the issues affecting a digital society. With the motto 're:publica goes POP' (POP stands for Power Of People), this year the visitors will spend three days discussing questions such as 'Where is the power of the masses? Has Fake long since become the accepted Mainstream? Where is the POP in POPulism?' Daimler AG is a long-term companion of re:publica and has been supporting the event for six years.
