Berlin. Callisti is one of Austria's most successful and well-known fashion labels. Yesterday evening, designer Martina Mueller-Callisti unveiled her new autumn/winter 2018 collection at MBFW at ewerk in Berlin. The around 400 guests, including not only fashion experts but also celebrities such as Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht, Philipp Boy and Jean Bork and Influencer such as Lisa Banholzer and Lisa Hahnbück were delighted by the combination of contemporary design, futuristic elements and playful retro references. The show was part of the young talent promotion programme sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and fashion magazine ELLE. Every season, the two brands invite an up-and-coming designer to present to an international audience in Berlin.

Callisti's autumn/winter 2018 collection is at once the continuation and answer to the last season. To mark the tenth anniversary of her label, in addition to a number of new creations, Martina Mueller-Callisti has also taken up and reinterpreted some designs from previous years. The result is a series of refined looks consisting of expansive, opulent skirts with reduced tops and chunky, harness-like waist belts that combine lightness and severity. The designer also takes up the kimono and Samurai style along with references to the military and uniforms in her characteristically figure-accentuating lines. The main colours are subtle shades such as aubergine, dark blue and creme, with taupe and black highlights.

Martina Mueller-Callisti set up her label in Vienna in 2007. She soon made a name for herself with her timeless, urbane and extravagant women's fashion. In 2012, she then launched her first collection for men. All her creations share an avant-garde, self-assured look, always elegant yet with a hint of edginess. Callisti's flagship store in Vienna is home to two floors of womenswear, prêt-à-porter and ready-to-wear, cocktail/evening wear and men's fashion.

Since the mid-1990s, Mercedes-Benz has established itself as a partner of selected fashion events around the world. The brand currently has a presence on over 60 international fashion platforms and, in the context of the Group's own International Designer Exchange Programme (IDEP), has made a name for itself especially in the promotion of talented young designers.
