• New, clearly laid-out user interface for PCs combines all services

  • Interaction between telematic services assists more rapid and effective driver, vehicle and transport management

  • More effective work thanks to individual adaptations

Lower fuel consumption, greater vehicle availability, better utilisation of the commercial vehicle fleet - telematics creates transparency, enabling improvement potentials to be identified for the increased cost-effectiveness of transport operations. With the new FleetBoard Cockpit from Daimler FleetBoard, efficiency potentials in all aspects of driver, vehicle and transport management can be utilised even better.

At the 2014 International Commercial Vehicles show (IAA) the provider of telematic services for commercial vehicles will be presenting the new, clearly laid-out and intuitively operated user interface for PCs for the first time. The software for transport operators, fleet managers and schedulers combines all FleetBoard services. It enables the user to access all the applications subscribed to at once. The user can also view information from different services, for example time management, operational analysis and mapping, in a single window. In practice this means: complete transparency about the position, fuel consumption, average speed and odometer reading of a specific vehicle, as well as information on the traffic flow and the remaining driving time and break times of the vehicle's driver.

The display of all services and their applications can be adapted to suit user requirements, and stored in memory for future use. The size, positioning, fade-in and fade-out functions and sequence can be changed at will in the FleetBoard Cockpit.

In tables, charts and diagrams, the colours green, yellow and red indicate whether action is required. Moreover, search and filter functions plus easy distribution of the services across several screen views improves everyday working efficiency thanks to increased clarity. Easy transfer of the data, for example to drivers or to other programmes, is possible thanks to file-saving in the pfd or csv formats. The start screen in FleetBoard Cockpit, the so-called Dashbord, can be adapted to suit individual requirements by means of an easy drag&drop function. This is where the user can place the most frequently used services for rapid access.

The FleetBoard Cockpit allows all users a more rapid and efficient analysis and evaluation of the recorded driver, vehicle and transport data. This means that the software can also contribute to more effective trip planning, allowing higher vehicle utilisation and increasing the company's profitability.
