Berlin/Stuttgart - Last night, Mario Testino held a reception, supported by Mercedes-Benz, to celebrate the opening of his exhibition 'In Your Face' (20th January - 26th July 2015).

The exhibition presents a full range of Mario Testino's photographic work, in 125 images, exploring and celebrating the innovation and diversity in his photography. Mario Testino was involved with the selection and layout of the works, juxtaposing formal portraits with private snapshots, nudes with fashion, and black and white with colour.

This event was a continuation of the relationship between Mario Testino and Mercedes-Benz, who collaborated on the brand's Spring/Summer 2013 fashion campaign which featured Joan Smalls and the CLS Shooting Brake. Mercedes-Benz is one of the global partners of around 50 fashion platforms worldwide, and is proud to support the Mario Testino 'In Your Face' exhibition opening as it arrives in Europe for the first time.

The private view took place at the Kulturforum Berlin and was hosted by Nadja Swarovski (Member of the Executive Board, Swarovski) and Moritz Wullen (Director, Kunstbibliothek).

Guests were from the worlds of fashion and art, and included Christiane Arp (Vogue Germany), Nadja Auermann (model and actress), Axel Milberg (actor) and his wife Judith, Gabriel and Raffi Chipperfield, Veronika Heilbrunner and Julia Knolle.

Touches of Swarovski were apparent around the venue, where guests were greeted by a uniquely striking Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupé, beautifully finished with 47 angular and round Swarovski crystals placed around the headlamps, daytime running lamps and indicator lamps.

Also on display throughout the event were three fashion designs by Hien Le, all embellished with crystals by Swarovski and created especially for Mercedes-Benz. Hien Le, a regular at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, founded his eponymous, independent fashion label in 2010 and has won numerous industry accolades for his discreet and elegant collections. Following the event last night, these designs will be exhibited in the Berlin Salon in Kronprinzenpalais for the remainder of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin.
