Voted among top ten large and multinational companies for third consecutive year

Mississauga, Ontario -- Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada announced today that it has been ranked one of the top ten "Best Workplaces in Canada" by the Great Place to Work® Institute for the third consecutive year, ranking number five in the "Large & Multinational Companies" category. A complete list, and related stories, was released today in a special edition of The Globe and Mail.

"The contributions of every employee are at the heart of our success as an organization," said Stefan Karrenbauer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada. "It is our employees who create an exceptional workplace and we are proud to once again be ranked among the ten the best workplaces in Canada."

The list of "Best Workplaces in Canada" is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada.  The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a 58-statement survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about their organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization's culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great place to work: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.

In 2012, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada received top honors for its results in the pride dimension, and in 2013 they were ranked among the top five companies in the camaraderie dimension. This year the company received accolades for its results in the respect dimension.

"Our leadership team is dedicated to fostering a workplace culture built on a foundation of trust," said Gayle Allan, Human Resources Manager for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada. "Each year, we look for opportunities to grow in each of the trust-building dimensions. This year's results show that our efforts continue to make a difference for our employees."
