• Bettina Fetzer takes over from Christoph Horn, assuming responsibility for global Product and Brand PR of Mercedes-Benz and smart

The Press Department at Mercedes-Benz is under new management. On 1 August Bettina Fetzer assumed responsibility for the global Product and Brand PR for Mercedes-Benz Cars. This includes the passenger car brands of Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Maybach, Mercedes-AMG and smart. She has taken over from Christoph Horn, who on 1 September moved to ZF Friedrichshafen AG.

Bettina Fetzer (35) has been employed at Daimler since 2004, holding positions which have included Spokesperson for smart and Assistant to the Head of Group Communications. She has also been Head of Mercedes-Benz Financial Communications. "Bettina Fetzer meets all of the requirements for further strengthening and enhancing our product communications with a focus on the future", says Jörg Howe, Head of Global Communications of Daimler AG.

In addition, on 1 October Matthias Brock (48) will take over as Head of the Editorial Team within the Mercedes-Benz Cars Press Department. He follows in the footsteps of Norbert Giesen who has retired. Matthias Brock has been employed by the company since 2003 and since that time has been responsible for a variety of areas within Research, Development and Environmental Communications.
