The German Public Relations Association (DPRG) and the F.A.Z. Institute have honored the "The Chris Morrin Show" of the Mercedes-Benz MYVAN channel on YouTube with the International German PR Award in the web video and image movie category. The award presentation ceremony was held in Frankfurt/Main last Friday, January 23, 2015.
"The Chris Morrin Show," the latest social content format from Mercedes-Benz Vans, was developed together with fischerAppelt advertising agency in Stuttgart. In this campaign, the explanatory video format that is well-established on YouTube was carried over to the world of vans. The fictional host of the program, Chris Morrin, explains complex themes, such as the right way to load a van, in a brash, humorous, and unconventional way. He also gives tips for everyday van use. The format can be seen at: www.youtube.com/myvantv.
Thanks to the use of various social network channels such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr, Chris Morrin has reached four million users to date.
The International German PR Award is one of Germany's most important communication awards and has been presented for more than 40 years. This year a total of 53 projects in 22 categories were nominated for the award.
