Mercedes-Benz delivers 119,980 vehicles in first seven
months of 2012

Sales of 119,980 (+10%) vehicles for the first seven
months of 2012 show Mercedes-Benz China is on track for
continued growth in the market.

The C-Class enjoyed further popularity selling 2,590
sedans in July, a 134% growth over the same month last
year.

With 1,705 units sold in July, the M-Class witnessed a
strong sales growth of 94% compared to last year.

smart achieved growth of 30% year-on-year selling 1,080
cars in July, which contributed to the total 9,740
units sold this year so far.
Mercedes-Benz China delivered 14,760 (+2%) Mercedes-Benz,
smart, and Maybach vehicles in July, raising the total
number of vehicles sold this year to 119,980 for a
year-on-year growth of 10% for the first seven months of
2012.
As a core model of Mercedes-Benz, the locally-produced
C-Class showed a striking monthly growth of 134% by selling
2,590 cars in July, bringing the year-to-date total to
17,405, an increase of 26% for the 7-month period. The
C-Class has proven particularly appealing to the younger
generation of Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts.
The SUV family had a strong showing in July, with the
all-new M-Class continuing as a trend-setter in its class
following this year's launch in China. The M-Class achieved
a sales growth of 94% compared to the same month last year,
as 1,705 new drivers enjoyed its road mastery.
smart excited customers with its new facelift, selling an
impressive 1,080 models for a 30% growth over the same
month last year. With sales of 9,740 units so far this year
representing a year-on-year growth of 55%, smart continues
to define itself as the solution to urban mobility.
