Three displays installed for racing events that began on
Dec. 26
ARCADIA, CAL. - Jan. 23, 2012 - Daktronics (Nasdaq-DAKT)
has provided Santa Anita Park with three new large screen
LED video displays to help enhance the overall experience
of patrons attending races and other special events held at
the venue for the winter racing season that began on Dec.
26.
"The response from our fans has been overwhelmingly
positive," said Santa Anita President George Haines. "We
are continually striving to improve the on-track experience
and these boards are an integral part of our
presentation."
Daktronics, a leading designer and manufacturer of LED
displays and programmable display systems, provided the new
infield that measures approximately 30 feet tall by 52 feet
wide. The main display incorporates full-color LED pixels
on 20 millimeter spacing and is primarily used to provide
attendees with live video of the racing action.
The infield display is accompanied by two other video
displays, each with 10 millimeter spacing, that are
positioned on the walking ring during . Both screens
measure approximately 8 feet tall by 15 feet wide. These
two displays provide patrons a view of the races and odds
while away from their seats, and can be moved to the
infield for special events if necessary.
All three displays are part of the new DVX LED video line
from Daktronics that incorporate higher contrast, greater
viewing angles, an advanced cooling system, intelligent
device management and even more robust protection from the
elements. All three displays are fully capable of showing
live video, odds and data in real time, and animation.
