BROOKINGS, S.D. - May 23, 2013 - Daktronics (Nasdaq - DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., announced today that CenturyLink Center Omaha in Omaha, Neb., has asked the company to design, manufacture and install a venue-wide integrated display system, including the first centerhung to use displays with 4 millimeter pixel layouts not including professional sports venues. It will also be the first centerhung configuration in the country to integrate displays with 4 millimeter and 6 millimeter line spacing.

The installation of numerous LED displays will include a centerhung video display system, fascia ribbon displays, an endwall video display, court-side scorer's table displays, an outdoor marquee display and parking lot displays. The area of all the displays to be installed equals a total of 3,467 square feet.

"We strive to provide an incredible fan experience at CenturyLink Center Omaha and Daktronics once again delivered with technology that will set us apart from our competition," said Roger Dixon, President and CEO of the Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority which operates CenturyLink Center Omaha. "We're excited to reveal this new state-of-the-art scoreboard and system to our guests."

The centerhung configuration will contain four main LED video displays that each measure approximately 11.5 feet high by 20 feet wide. The displays will provide excellent image clarity and contrast while being capable of showing one large image to highlight live video and instant replays, or a variety of graphics, animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information and sponsor advertisements.

The centerhung includes four wedge-shaped displays that will match the height of the main video displays and face outward from the four corners of the main video display. There will be two ring displays - one above and one below the main video displays - both featuring the aforementioned 6 millimeter line spacing. Each ring display will measure 2 feet high with the top ring measuring more than 95 feet wide and the bottom ring measuring 79 feet wide.

Above the top ring display, eight video displays will face outward, forming an octagon. Each display will feature 6 millimeter line spacing and measure approximately 6 feet high by 11.5 feet wide. All of these displays will be used to compliment the content on the main video displays, showcase sponsor throughout events, and provide up-to-the-minute statistics and other game information.

"This centerhung will be the first of its kind utilizing 4 millimeter technology on the main video displays with over 720 lines of resolution and 6 millimeter technology on the rings and upper displays," said Matt Warnke, Daktronics Sales Representative. "The combination of these two technologies will provide fans and patrons of CentryLink Center Omaha with unparalleled display quality."

At the south end of the arena, an endwall display will be installed to supplement the centerhung display system. It will feature 15 millimeter line spacing and measure approximately 13 feet tall by 36 feet wide. It will have all of the same capabilities as the main center hung video displays such as providing live video and instant replays or being divided into separate windows to show a multitude of other content.

Around the seating area of the arena will be four LED ribbon displays measuring roughly 2.5 feet high, to provide additional graphics, animations, statistics and other information. The ribbon displays at the north end will measure 177 feet long and the south end will measure 164 feet long, and the ribbon displays on the east and west sides of the arena will measure 263 feet long.

At court-level, 16 total scorer's tables will be attached together in groups of 11 on the east side and five on the west side. These displays will provide additional space for sponsor messages, player headshots, statistics and other game information.

Outside the arena, Daktronics will update the existing marquee display to a new display featuring 16 millimeter line spacing and measuring approximately 9.5 feet high by 13 feet wide. Six parking lot displays featuring 16 millimeter line spacing will also be included - four curved and two straight. All six displays will measure nearly 2 feet high by more than 11 feet wide. These outdoor displays will be perfect for advertising and promoting upcoming events at CenturyLink Center.

"Daktronics is excited about the opportunity to continue our partnership with MECA and the CenturyLink Center Omaha," said Warnke. "CenturyLink Center Omaha is one of the premiere arenas in the country; this new system will add to an already great venue and the fan experience."

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
